“Out of Thin Air” - TPC Charters Airline Fall 2024 Event

Hello, TPC Charters Pilots!

The TPC Charters Fall 2024 event will test your skills with short and narrow fields, along with windy, and high density altitude conditions.

You are going to the Smoky Mountains as well as the Rockies.

You’ll need to navigate through terrain, weather, and be sure your aircraft can climb out of high density altitude airfields. Be very selective of your aircraft for the event, as you’ll want one powerful enough to climb, but not one too big/fast that you can’t navigate the turns, narrow or short runways.

Airliners and business jets will have the opportunity to bring in travelers to the Rockies from both Canada and Mexico.

There will be multiple releases of airports as we progress through the event, and the airports will progressively get harder as they are released.

Pilots will be able to rent 2 aircraft for the event (one at the Rockies and one in the Smokies) as well as 1 airliner or business jet. Pilots will receive 500 points for each airport that they complete a job to. Any pilot who visits all airports will receive a bonus 500 points.

Aircraft will be parked and ready to go at KGEV, KBDU; airliners/business jets will start at CYYC.

Airliners will be required to fly to the Rockies from either Canada or Mexico for the flight to count. Flying from one FBO to another within the Rockies will not be eligible.

Event aircraft will not be ferried during this event.

Pilots will be allowed additional aircraft specifically for the event.  Once the event has started, any aircraft associated to the event will not be ferried.  Your normally assigned aircraft that is not associated to the event will still be able to be ferried, but flights in aircraft not associated with the event will not count for TPC points.  Also, aircraft associated with the event will not be changed during the event so plan accordingly.
