Explorer Flight Missions: Island Vacation - May 2022
Following the success of our initial rollout of Explorer Flight Missions, and the consequent missions, here are our next Explorer Flight Missions, which focus on some interesting GA destinations. The theme for this iteration is Island Vacation, as we head towards the summer! Pack your swim trunks (No Speedos, Paul), and take your camera to these neat locations. Where possible, freeware or payware scenery has been linked to increase your enjoyment. Thank you to TPC Staff member Evan for an exciting selection this month!
You can fly these on your own or get a group going - it’s up to you. Make sure you choose an appropriate aircraft and conduct proper flight planning. Let the adventure begin!

1. 3T7 - Middle Bass Island. Ohio, U.S.
It has one asphalt paved runway designated 10/28, measuring 1,852 x 75 ft. The airport is unattended. Stop by Hazards for a drink and a dip in the pool!

2. KBID - Block Island. Rhode Island, U.S.
It is primarily a general aviation airport, but there is also scheduled airline service. It has one runway designated 10/28 with an asphalt surface measuring 2,502 by 100 ft.

There is no fuel available at Mackinac Island Airport. It has one runway designated 8/26 with a concrete surface measuring 3,501 by 75 ft.

It contains one asphalt paved runway designated 16/34, measuring 2,900 x 60 ft.
